something you should know about us, we’re simple girls. we like things that aren’t fussy, brands that have good philosophies, companies that do things a little differently. its one of the reasons why we love to shop local and support local brands. another reason is because it opens us up to things that are beyond what we are likely used to, things that fall into our comfort zones or just things that are thought of a little differently. our introduction to Ollie Quinn came about like that.
we were invited to view the newest Ollie Quinn flagship earlier this year, not really knowing too much about the brand. during our visit, we learned a few things that really appealed to us, in particular their in-house designed eye wear that offers fair pricing across the board. while I don’t wear reading glasses, Tarah does and we’d chatted about how different pricing is for spectacles and sunglasses and how quality can be compromised in search of a good pair of glasses. Their glasses have the same pricing across the board, including prescription ones and the OQ stores only sell within their own boutiques. Having met with some of the OQ staff, learned about their philosophies and how they care for their customers, we were definitely on board to collaborate with them. That’s something else that stood out for us; Ollie Quinn believes in collaboration and community involvement.
we popped into the Main street location and tried on some specs, chatted with the staff and walked away feeling good about recommending Ollie Quinn to our friends and family.
A special thanks to all the ladies at Ollie Quinn for making our visit such a fun experience! Be sure to pop into one of their many locations in Vancouver, Ontario and Alberta.
